Hi adam , just registered here been flicking through the posts , the Jobs thread was quite interesting , so i just wanted to ask what do you do at monster?
like a run down of your day in work , you said you had to go though some rubbish jobs to get there what were they ? its interesting to me as theres lots of online supp companies about would be interesting how they actually work behind the scenes as such lol
thanks
Lew
wow, a thread dedicated to me lol.
My job at monster is great. i have a lot of fun jobs to do and although there is quite a lot of pressure at times i enjoy coming in to work every day so you cant get better than that. I dont really have a primary role here. Main roles would be giving advice over the phone, reviewing products, writing articles for the site, customer services etc. I also created fitforum and thus keep it going as best as i can, i am in charge of the body challenge and a new thing called monster TV where we do training videos etc. I represent monster on other forums and am getting into other sides of the business as well. My main role however is manager of the physical store in Hull. that takes up most of my time. as you can see there is plenty to do.
I cant really tell you exactly how the company works as you can imagine but my day is busy to say the least.
other jobs i had before were jsut stuff i wasnt interested in like newspaper shops, clothes shops, waiting, bar staff etc.

thats cool , so your the actual manager of a shop ? how old are you lol you dont look that old in your pics well who would compared to Pudzian , seems like your managed to do alot in such a short time ,so how do you manage to be in customer services and in a store at the same time ??? would be good to work in a company like monster but unfortunatly there isnt such around my end
yes i manage the physical store. it is called phd fitness in Hull. i am part of customer services over the phone for monster but am in the physical store most of the day. I recommend getting into the supplement industry if you can. where do you live?

that actually is a good idea lol , how do you actually get jobs in this sort of thing ? did you study something ? because its one of those that is theres not alot of jobs before hand like you say barman , shopkeeper etc that would give you experience to put down before it i think most of it is your personal experience hence training yourself etc
I think to work in a gym you have to be a likeable person, in good shape and good at dealing with people. I have a few qualifications to do with sport etc but i dont think thats what got me the job here. i'm sure if you go into the gyms and hand your CV in personally, if you come across well you are in with a shot.
