Evening all

Been watching the froum for quite a while now, thought i twas about time i joined. seems to be active and helpful/
Though i would start by posting a bit about myself.

Im 20 years old, weigh 14st and im 6ft 5

If there is a body out there that deservs a medal for struggling to put on muscle it would go to me.

Ive been training for a couple of years now, but its only been the last 6 or 7 months that i have really got into the fact my diet plays a major role in my body. I gave up a bit on trying to gain muscle so started to try and drop the belly. at my heavyest i was 16.5 stone, that was about 18 months ago, since xmas i have droped about a stone and a half. this is mainly due to my diet.

At the moment my diet consists of waking up at 7am and having a PHD Pharma whey, then every 2/3 hours eating around 35/40 grams of proten which will be either chicken or fish. I then have another pahrma whey after my work out at around 7pm and will have a dinner of chicken/fish and vegtables. Im not eating solid carbs in the week, but i do flavour my food with sauces (couldnt handle it being plain) which contain smallish amounts of carbs.

i drink plenty of water

I have cod liver oil and multi vitamins every day, and also take phd BCAA on training days

I train about 4 days a week.
My training was very much about weights, but i am trying to do about 60/90 mins of cardio a week now, but my time can be limited. it would appear that the weight training i do seems pretty standard to what people are posting

And theres my bit of info, any advice or help would be much appreciated. If im doing somehting wrong i dont mind being told

Hey there and welcome to the forum.
If u are trying to put on mass you need to up your carbs by quite a lot, but coming from good sources like brown rice, quinoa, sweet potatoes, oats etc. Remember to still keep your protein high.
Add a weight gainer like Phd Pharma Gain or any other. USN Muscle Fuel Anabolic is the top weight gainer apparently but is quite expensive, maybe someone else could fill u in more on that. Baisiclly you need to eat a lot more calories than your eating now. Also essential fats play a big role so make sure you are consuming some of that, flax, nuts, extra virgin olive oil etc
Take a look at AC mass gain diet, the best ive seen to date

Thanks fot the replys lads.

Forgot to mention, the reason im cutting the carbs at the mo is because im trying to get the stubbon 6pack to show.

I used the USN anabolic when it was 1st released, and it was a very good mass gainer, but other parts of my diet were very poor at the time so i just got fatter. If i was trying to gain then i would definantly go back on it

Will make a note and up the fats in my diet

Welcome to the Forum.

You may find it hard to get the 6 pack showing (if it is not already) and bulk at the same time. Bulking (increasing muscle mass) requires a surplus of calories, where as getting the 6 pack to show is through cutting, with a calorie deficit. You might want to re-evaluate your goals. Maybe do a cut to get lean and ripped and then do a lean bulk to try and maintain the rippedness but increasing muscle mass.

Sorry lads, im not being as clear as i could be

I am cutting at the moment, that why im on the low carb diet, when i do get the 6pack, which i know will be hard i will then do as you sugested and try to have a lean gain. Hopefully keep the fat off but start to bulk. i know that will be a slow process with my body, but things take time.

Thanks
